Another question(sorry) is it word that this is what I always imagined when I thought of what an Orokin from Warframe would look like?

Seriously, I shivered by seeing such an exceptional illustration of my deepest believes. At least that's how I understand this "metahuman". For me it's so fucking obvious that there is no god, it is mankinds destiny too fucking become god. And what if we are to become that superior, non-material entity capable of manipulating time and space which in countless SciFi publications we expect to meet? It's not that unlikely that in our parts of the universe, mankind is to be Prometheus.

Sorry I'm babbling. As a painter myself I love this technically and composition-wise, and it strikes a near religious chord in me.

There's a hypothesis that's been proposed as a possible solution to the Fermi Paradox. It states that the reason we have yet to encounter alien life is because humanity is among the first generation of intelligent life in the galaxy. After all it took nearly 500 million years for complex life to create human level intelligence. It's possible that we just arrived too early to meet others. That being said I'd say it's entirely believable for us to have reached an ascended "precursor" state by the time aliens finally meet us. These Birrin would be no exception.

Finally.    Someone else who believes in the possibility of ascension.     ^^

Well I'd say it's a good solution to the Fermi Paradox. But even if it isn't the idea of "ascended humans as precursors" is sorely underutilized in sci-fi.

Especially in the Stargate show's.      One of the rules of ascended beings is not to interfere with mortal affairs.   Thus ascended beings were rarely seen.

If metahumanity visits these guys 7000 years in the future then homo sapiens could send a spacecraft to that planet way before that and have it take several thousand years to arrive, by the aliens' clock since it's all accelerating and stuff.  Of course I don't know where you're imaging that this planet actually is.

You said in another comment that the metahuman is 40 stories or so tall, but the perspective seems off for that. The birrin in the foreground would have to be huge for that to be true. A single story is about 10 feet, or a little over 3 meters. Assuming the birrin are around the height of an average human the metahuman would be several hundred stories tall, thousands upon thousands of feet, while crouching no less. I love the image though. I have this scenario in my head where the metahuman moves forward to meet the birrin. It takes a single step, crossing the vast lake (I'm assuming it's a lake, it doesn't seem too big) in a single bound. Yet when its foot touches the ground it's only a little taller than the birrin, having shrunk itself by many factors of size as the other foot came to rest upon the ground. The metahuman then alters its appearance to that of a normal human, whatever that term means, and extends a hand in greeting. One birrin is frightened and flees while the other, though also scared, extends a limb in kind. I'm curious as to where it goes from there though. How do the two species regard each other? Does the birrin know or suspect that the metahuman is only a highly advanced alien? Or does it believe it is some kind of god? Is there really any difference between those descriptions? Would the human help the birrin, who seem to still be recovering from some ancient disaster? Or does it believe the birrin can and should continue on their path alone? Would it stay to get to know the birrin, both as individuals and a species, or would it leave for places unknown? Is this just what metahumans do? Frighten less advanced species with their appearance and technology? Or did it not expect to find them here? Perhaps this is some kind of a special scenario? Do humans even still have rules when they're this advanced? How does birrin society change from this meeting of not only an alien species, but one so far beyond them as to seem as gods? Is this a turning point in birrin history, or just the lives of these specific individuals?

Basically I threw a guess down, but because I didnt use a 3D model layout first basically I have no idea how tall it would be in this image :P

Metahuman*
im going on the assumption you know what the Birrin are (the aliens in the foreground).
This is a scene on the Birrin's homeworld of them encountering a human, about 7000 years in our future. If we can get from Ancient Roman tec to phones and computers and moon missions in 2000 years, then this is entirely possible in another 7.

Also, if Abiogenesis sees this, could I ask a question?

You mentioned other 'Baseline' humans in another comment, and I was wondering what they are like. I'm presuming that their tech is impressive to say the least, but what is it like? How do they view these 'Gods'?
I know you're probably kinda busy sorting out one planet and culture, so if you don't have answers, it's fine

I first found your art, and the species you invented, many many many years ago. I don't know how long ago, my memory and grasp of time is very bad, but it was A Long Time. I forgot your username. I forgot most of your art. I even forgot most of the details of Birrin, aside from their head. But the design you made, the world you crafted, were so incredible that the name of their species is one I will NEVER forget, and for as long as you remain on this site I will ALWAYS be able to find them, and you. I am SO HAPPY to see that you've actually continued creating and posting your art here! Although, Deviantart can be kind of shady, so if you have your own website, I would dearly love to know of it so I can follow your works and updates or what have you, somewhere that is entirely your own, or at least just somewhere else so I have more than one online place to find your work.
