How many nations exist politically? I assume the dominant ones come from the north and south, and good ol'fashioned mad maxery happening in the kiln regions, probably under political and economic dominance from polar nations.

The main moon orbits the planet, and the smaller moon orbits the main moon. The orbit is unstable

Would humans die if exposed to their atmosphere?  Is the chemical composition of the atmosphere much different to earth?

The chemical composition is similar, but with higher CO2 and far higher average temperatures. We wouldnt like it.

Maybe not the best, but it is the pigment that the dominant plants evolved to use.

Have you ever considered making any languages for the birrin? If not, I would be happy to lend a hand in doing so. Making languages is quite easy, as it turns out. Basically all I would need is a list of some kind of the number of sounds used in any given birrin language. Most human languages have around 33-40 sounds used, but some have as few as 18 and as many as 150. You wouldn't have to get too specific with the sounds, just write out the English equivalent of each sound. From there it's as easy as giving each sound, or sometimes groups of similar sounds, letters (and context for the letters: in English we have 26 letters, but we once had other letter such as Eth, which we took from Norse and was later replaced by the combination "th-" after the Norman Conquest). We could even make a font if you like, for you to use in future works. I would be happy to do it just as practice, as I did with my own project here:

Are tropical cyclones common on Chriirah, given that it has large oceans and a hot climate? If so, how do the Birrin deal with them?
Reply
:iconabiogenisis:
Abiogenisis Featured By Owner Aug 12, 2016  Professional Digital Artist
They are very common, they deal with them by having mostly low, strong buildings in tropical areas

Awesome work! Before this, I thought Chriirah was largely a desert planet. Its always pretty amazing when you expect one thing from an artist and end up getting something completely unexpected (but still stunning.) The names of some of the land masses are pretty clever too, I'm assuming the ten and fifty day island are named so because thats how long it takes to travel there? Also, I'm curious, where is the largest population of Birrin located on the planet?

:iconabiogenisis:
Abiogenisis Featured By Owner Aug 12, 2016  Professional Digital Artist
The largest population is in the south, down near the floating forest, while a wealthy but smaller population is in the far north
