Alien Parenthood by Abiogenisis Alien Parenthood by Abiogenisis
This alien mother is taking her young child on a food gathering trip to the edge of her clan's territory. It is the end of the growing season and the tough dryland plants are sending out their large, robust seeds as the last of the rains leave the plains for months.
The plants stock their underground tubers with water and starches for their long hibernation, and it is these the alien mother is trying to find. However her child seems more intent on catching a large floating seed as it drifts past on the dry afternoon breeze.

Alien Parenthood by *Abiogenisis
The suggester says: An explanation of the situation given by the artist in Alien Parenthood shows us the length to which it is not only just visually pleasing and stunning with the feathery soft details on the aliens and the dry landscape, but also shows us that parenting is time consuming and hard nonetheless. But should we forget the valuable moments spent with our beloved, for whom we go to extreme measures? The alien features of the duo inexplicably enhance the emotion that is surrounded in parenting and the playful alien kid, and the desolate place with less food enhances the emotions behind it! This is a very cool design! I like the fact that they are not humanoid since aliens in our universe are likely not too look anything like humans.

The seperation ofhead and mouth is a cool anatomical idea. Also you don't see enough aliens with feathers these days.

Its true, most aliens are drawn naked, or covered in shaggy fur. Nice to mix it up :P

Wonderful artwork!

I've been searching Google Images, with the filter set for "Labeled for reuse with modification" from inside advanced search. The reuse is also supposed to be "free to use, share or modify, even commercially."

Your Alien Parenthood came up as such, but I do not see any reference here that this graphic falls into the category I searched under. I am merely alerting you to this should you want to correct Google Images.

Thanks. I have found that when it comes to these things, fighting it would be like trying to punch a river. Mostly I ignore it and just keep making new things to stay ahead :P

This has a really nice "after the end" or "10 million years from now" feel to it... If birds went down an theoretical evolutionary stage where they developed into an ape or chimpanzee-like stage.

My favorite alien designs tend to be vaguely humanoid, with a lot of bizarre, inhuman physical traits. This species looks so cool! My favorite thing about the picture is that it doesn't portray these strange creatures as heavily violent or disgusting, but more like real mammal or bird species. The relationship between a parent and offspring is always endearing, and makes it easier to empathize with them, instead of view them as monsters.

Answer those 6 questions and you can adopt this rabbit for free! []    []

                                                                                              (o w o)

1: Do those creatures reproduce like humans?

2: Are they prized for their delicious-tasting meat by birrin?

3: Is their homeworld a savannah planet?

4: Do they have a pouch to carry their young like the kangaroo on Earth?

5: Are they a tribal species?

6: FINAL QUESTION: Which star type does their homeworld orbit?

Are the parent aliens incredibly responsible and loving for their offspring? Are they very fertile and as a result produce large numbers of offspring? Are they prized for their meat by birrins?

They look so strange, but in a good way kind of remind me of chickens. It's a very sweet scene, seeing aliens from another planet showing a bond between a mother and her child.

I like the work you've done in establishing an alien world with a real ecology. Seasonal cycles, growing times, plants changing over time, it's all there. I also like the design of the aliens themselves. Clearly not of this world. but what is there makes sense. It looks like something that could be, just isn't on Earth.
